Student Wellbeing at Ivel Valley College

All staff at Ivel Valley are committed to ensuring the highest level of wellbeing and safety for all students.  If you have ANY concerns please speak to a trusted member of staff.  This could be your tutor, teaching assistant or assistant principal.

Remember all staff will take your concerns seriously and try to help you.

What support is offered to our students in college?

School Nurse


The school nursing team can give advice and support with health related issues including sexual health.

Mental Health First Aiders


We have a number of staff across the college site who can listen, support and signpost you to the right agencies to support you with your needs.

Pastoral Support Worker/Family Support Worker


Both our Pastoral Support Worker and our Family Support Worker work across the school and college sites to support students to overcome difficulties inside and outside of school/college life.

Self help library


We have a variety of books aimed at providing help and information on a range of issues including healthy lifestyles, bereavement, drugs and alcohol; these are available in our college library.

Wellbeing and mental health resources


The Bedfordshire 0-19 service runs a text messaging support service
for students.
